In this trip we started out from Agnew Meadows then stayed one night at Ediza lake then two nights at Minaret lake. After the first night at Minaret lake the next day we did a day trip to Minaret Mine. It is an abandoned copper mine that was way cool. We came out at the Devils Post ]pile trail head and since Devilspost pile was only a few minutes out of our way we stopped there. It is a dark cliff of columnar basalt created by a lava flow. After seeing Devils Monument this was dissapointing because its so small. If you are in Mammoth Lakes in the summer time make the 8 mile round trip to Minaret lake from Devils Postpile for a wonderful day hike.
