Carlsbad Caverns

Here are some pictures from inside the caverns. Some pictures might have some green tint to them, this is because I still had the white balance for my camera on sunlight and they have fluorescent lighting underground.

The caverns are a sight to be seen. You can either walk down the natural entrance or take elevators down. The natural entrance you will get a good whiff of guano because 300-500 thousand bats live in the cave. Depending on the time of year you can watch the bats exit at dusk but no cameras are allowed because the noise scares the bats so I don't have any pictures of them. Once you're inside the caves you are free to walk around the big room and a few others. The big room is over 6 football fields long, and in picture #18 in the center of the photo you can make out 2 silver hand rails and if your lucky you can see a black dot near them, that is a person. If you are in the area I highly recommend you make a trip to the caverns, you won't be disappointed.
