White Sands in early September 2006. White sands gets its name because it is endless dunes of gypsum, which happens to be a white compound. We were not able to go through the whole park because of flooding on the roads. Check the Black and White galley for some awesome pictures of white sands in BW. If you go be sure to bring sun glasses because it gets very bright.
